Business POA
Give a manager, employee or outside representative the power to handle your company’s affairs with authorities, banks and other parties in the UAE.
Business POA
A company power of attorney hands the running of company matters to another person, in Dubai or anywhere else in the UAE. It is commonly used for licensing, banking and government transactions.
The principal must be one of the company’s shareholders, but the attorney does not have to work for the company.
We draft the POA in line with the company’s documents and the authority of the person signing. The powers below are common examples and can be adjusted to your needs.

Company POA
It is a legal document that lets a person, such as a manager, an employee or an outside representative, act for a company. The authority can be general or limited to particular business matters.
The authorized signatory named on the trade licence or a shareholder, depending on how the company is structured and the authority its MoA or other corporate documents give. In some cases, a person authorized by a board or shareholder resolution signs instead.
It can cover signing contracts, government procedures, acting for the company in court or before authorities, opening bank accounts and running daily operations. Your attorney can only do what the POA expressly states.
Yes. In the UAE, the Notary Public must notarize it. A POA signed abroad must first be notarized in that country, then legalized at the UAE Embassy in that country and attested at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If it is not in Arabic, a certified translator must also prepare an Arabic version.
Yes, but the POA must state this power clearly. Many banks also ask for their own POA format or a board resolution, even when an external POA already exists.
Sometimes. It depends on the company type and its documents. We check this before drafting.
It stays valid for the period written in the document. If no period is set, it has no expiry and lasts until formally revoked.
Yes. The company can cancel it at any time with a notarized revocation notice. Everyone concerned, including banks and government departments, must then be formally informed.
Yes. The POA should set out each person’s name, the scope of their authority and any limits, so there is no room for confusion or misuse.
