Business POA
Appoint someone to take care of every step of forming your company in Dubai or anywhere in the UAE, from reserving the trade name to collecting the licence.
Business POA
A company formation POA names a person to handle all the procedures involved in setting up your company in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE. It is typically needed when a shareholder is outside the country and wants someone to sign the formation documents for them.
Your attorney can sign the MoA and AoA, file the applications and deal with the licensing authority and utility service providers, while you focus on your plans.
Mainland and free zone authorities each have their own rules on format and content, so we draft the POA for the authority you are working with.

Company Formation POA
It is a legal document that lets someone act for a business owner or shareholder and complete all the formalities of forming a company in Dubai.
Foreign investors, non-resident shareholders and business owners who cannot come to the UAE in person often give one to a business setup provider or another representative they trust. That person can then complete the setup without you having to visit.
It can allow them to reserve the trade name, sign the incorporation documents, lease an office, apply for the licence, open the establishment card and collect the licence once it is issued. Post-formation tasks, such as investor visa applications, can be included too.
Yes, as long as that power is stated clearly. Even so, the ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) usually has to attend in person, as most banks in the UAE need this for compliance and KYC checks.
Usually not. Licensing authorities may reject a general POA, so the document has to set out the specific powers needed for the business setup.
Yes. A POA issued in the UAE needs local notarization. If you sign it abroad, it has to be notarized in your home country, legalized at the UAE Embassy there and then attested by MOFA, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. You will also need a certified Arabic translation if it is not already in Arabic.
Not always. Each authority, such as the DED for mainland companies or the relevant free zone authority, has its own requirements for format and content. A POA prepared for one may not be accepted by another unless it is tailored to it.
Yes. You can revoke it at any time with a notarized revocation document. Tell the attorney and every relevant government department or authority, so the POA cannot continue to be used.
Usually each shareholder gives a POA, or all shareholders sign one document together.
